Babcock Ranch was recently featured in the Herald Tribune in an article about new home sales and real estate growth in our region. Data shows that new home sales have rebounded during the second quarter in Southwest Florida after a slower start in 2019. Home starts in Charlotte County in particular increased 76% to 314 for the quarter and 28% over the year.
“Lakewood Ranch led the region with 1,169 annual home starts in the second quarter. The West Villages was second at 772, followed by Palmer Ranch at 308, Babcock Ranch at 295 and South Gulf Cove at 176,” the article states, making Babcock Ranch the fourth overall community for new home sales in our region.
