Babcock Ranch surpasses 500 homes sold milestone

BABCOCK RANCH, Fla. (Dec. 18, 2019) – Kitson & Partners, developers of Babcock Ranch, America’s first solar-powered town located just northeast of Fort Myers on Babcock Ranch Road/State Road 31, has reported 507 new home contracts in the community through the beginning of December.

“Residents rank our sustainable eco-friendly and solar initiatives, our walkability, and our trails, lakes and parks among some of the top reasons they’ve decided to make Babcock Ranch their new home,” said Syd Kitson, chairman and CEO of Kitson & Partners. “Surpassing this sales milestone is an affirmation of our vision as homebuyers discover our distinctive residential offerings and experience the welcoming sense of place that defines Babcock Ranch.”

Babcock Ranch was created by Kitson & Partners with respect for the natural environment and the philosophy that smart growth and sustainability work hand in hand. Half of the town’s 18,000-acre footprint is set aside as greenways, parks and expansive lakes, providing recreation and scenic backdrops for Babcock Ranch’s homes and the Founder’s Square downtown district. Babcock Ranch was recently ranked Southwest Florida’s top master-planned community based on Metrostudy data on single-family home annual starts in Charlotte, Lee and Collier counties through September 2019.

More than two dozen model and quick-delivery homes are now open or under construction by Arthur Rutenberg Homes, Divco Custom Homes, Florida Lifestyle Homes, Fox Premier Builders, Lennar, Meritage Homes, Pulte Homes, Stock Classic Homes and WCI. Many models are open for viewing daily.

Babcock National, a new golf and lifestyle community within Babcock Ranch, will feature 18 of Lennar’s most popular home designs offering 1,120 to 3,473 square feet of living space. A mix of multi-family and single-family homes, including condominiums, luxury coach homes, executive homes and estate-style designs, will incorporate innovative design details and Lennar’s signature Everything’s Included® program that provides customers with a high level of standard features already included in the home price. Homes at Babcock National start from $189,999.
