Babcock Ranch Water Utilities, as operated by Town & Country Utilities, serves all of Babcock Ranch. The award-winning utility is committed to serving the Babcock Ranch community and providing employees with a safe and healthy workplace.
2019

Small Public Water System of the Year
The awards are presented to individuals and systems that are considered the “best of the best” in their fields and are chosen annually from throughout the state.

David W. York award- Reuse System of the year
The FWEA Water Resources, Reuse and Resiliency (WR3) Committee honors utilities, customers and organizations for their commitment to, and their accomplishments in, developing, using and/or maintaining exemplary reuse programs. Also, the Committee recognizes a water resource professional for advancing the concept of OneWater in Florida.

Earle B. Phelps Award - Advanced secondary wastewater treatment
The Florida Water Environment Association gives the Earle B. Phelps Award annually to recognize wastewater treatment facilities, which have maintained the highest removal of major pollution-causing constituents prior to discharging, treated effluent to receiving waters. Nominees will be evaluated against treatment facilities of the same relative size and treatment type.
2018

Plant Operations Excellence Award – Wastewater Treatment Plant
Each year, the department presents awards to domestic wastewater facilities around the state that demonstrate excellence in operation, maintenance, innovative treatment, waste reduction and pollution prevention, recycling, or other special achievements. These awards are presented to recognize facilities that demonstrate a special commitment to excellence in management through dedicated professionalism. Facilities that demonstrate excellence are encouraged to complete and submit a self-nominating form to their local DEP district, local program, or Approved County Health Department (ACHD) office to be recognized.

David B Lee Award – Nathaniel Mastroeni
The David B. Lee Award is given annually by the State Association to an Active Operator. The award is based on the Operator’s plant operation and his activity within the Operators Association. Points are based on criteria listed on the application.

First Place Safety Award Class C – Water Reclamation Facility
Facilities from all over the state of Florida compete for the opportunity to receive a plaque recognizing the excellent safety programs that are in place all over our state. Awards are given for exemplary safety programs in all categories (A, B, C and D) for domestic wastewater treatment plants. Each category will have a first, second and third place winner.
