BABCOCK RANCH, Fla. (Oct. 2, 2020) – At Babcock Ranch, a new coffee shop will complement the recently redesigned Discovery Center in Woodlea Hall, where visitors learn about the sustainable vision behind America’s first solar-powered town and its welcoming lifestyle.
Opening Monday, Oct. 5, Cup A Joe at Curry Creek Outfitters will serve freshly brewed coffee and espresso drinks, along with an assortment of baked goods. Open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., the coffee shop offers both counter and outdoor seating overlooking Founder’s Square.
Babcock Ranch’s Discovery Center redesign added engaging video and interactive content to the Builder Showcase area that highlights the town’s team of nine homebuilders. Town Ambassadors are on hand to answer questions and coordinate tours of Babcock Ranch’s seven neighborhoods and more than two dozen models and quick delivery homes.
A refresh of Curry Creek Outfitters – Babcock Ranch’s retail outdoor supply and merchandise store in the Discovery Center – incorporated more integrated space for popular Babcock Ranch-branded gear.
Complimentary Community Guides and Trail Maps are also available in the Discovery Center to guide guests as they explore downtown Founder’s Square and Babcock Ranch’s parks, lakes, and miles of trails.
“The Discovery Center is the first stop for guests to gain an understanding of the Babcock Ranch lifestyle,” said Syd Kitson, Chairman, and CEO of Kitson & Partners, developers of Babcock Ranch. “We like to encourage folks to soak in the ambiance of downtown, visit our model homes, and hike or bike our trail system to experience the essence of this special community.”
The Discovery Center at 42850 Crescent Loop is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Homebuyers can call 941-257-4936 or visit www.BabcockRanch.com to schedule an appointment with a Town Ambassador.
Babcock Ranch began marketing new homes in 2017, with the first residents moving into the town in January 2018. Created by Kitson & Partners with respect for the natural environment and the philosophy that smart growth and sustainability work hand in hand, half of the town’s 18,000-acre footprint is set aside as greenways, parks, and expansive lakes, providing recreation and scenic backdrops for Babcock Ranch’s homes and the Founder’s Square downtown district.
Babcock Ranch homebuilders offer more than 50 home designs for nearly every lifestyle, from condominiums to villas to single-family estates ranging from 1,120 to more than 4,000 square feet. Homes appeal to young millennials, families, empty nesters, and retirees alike, with prices ranging from the $200s to over $1.5 million. Built to Florida Green Building Coalition standards, homes emphasize energy and water conservation and offer a full gig of fiber-optic connectivity.
Babcock Ranch’s builder team includes AR Homes by Arthur Rutenberg, Divco Custom Homes, Florida Lifestyle Homes, Fox Premier Builders, Lennar, Meritage Homes, Pulte Homes, Stock Classic Homes, and WCI.
