Babcock Ranch jumps 10 spots to No. 24 top-selling master-planned communities

BABCOCK RANCH, Fla. (July 13, 2021) – Babcock Ranch has jumped up 10 spots in six months to the No. 24 position in the country’s 50 top-selling master-planned communities of 2021 by RCLCO Real Estate Advisors.

The recognition comes on the heels of Kitson & Partners’ recent announcement that Babcock Ranch has reached 1,400 new homes sold, with 342 home sales year-to-date in America’s first solar-powered town.

Ranked as Southwest Florida’s top master-planned community based on Metrostudy data on single-family home annual starts in Charlotte, Lee and Collier counties, Babcock Ranch was also named Master-Planned Community of the Year by the Lee Building Industry Association at its 2020 Industry Awards.

Syd Kitson, chairman and CEO of Kitson & Partners, the developer of Babcock Ranch, said, “This vibrant new town is fulfilling our promise to deliver an innovative community with sustainability woven throughout. Our homebuyers are discovering an environmental haven that also offers beautiful homes that fit any lifestyle. It is exciting for our entire team to achieve this ranking.”

Babcock Ranch began marketing new homes in 2017, with the first residents moving into the town in January 2018. Today, Babcock Ranch offers homes from seven homebuilders in seven neighborhoods. Construction is nearing completion at Crescent B Commons, the 82,640-square-foot Publix-anchored shopping center at a new entrance to Babcock Ranch about one mile south of the signature Babcock Ranch bridge.

Created by Kitson & Partners with respect for the natural environment and the philosophy that smart growth and sustainability work hand in hand, half of the town’s footprint is set aside as greenways, parks and expansive lakes, providing recreation and scenic backdrops for Babcock Ranch’s homes and the Founder’s Square downtown district. Babcock National brings golf to Babcock Ranch with an 18-hole Gordon Lewis-designed course as the centerpiece of Lennar’s new lifestyle community.

Babcock Ranch homebuilders offer more than 50 home designs ranging from 1,120 to more than 4,000 square feet. Homes appeal to young millennials, families, empty nesters and retirees alike, with prices ranging from the $200s to over $1.5 million. Built to Florida Green Building Coalition standards, homes emphasize energy and water conservation and offer a full gig of fiber-optic connectivity.

Within Babcock Ranch’s welcoming neighborhoods, more than two dozen model and quick-delivery homes are now open or under construction by AR Homes by Arthur Rutenberg, Divco Custom Homes, Florida Lifestyle Homes, Lennar, Meritage Homes, Pulte Homes and WCI.
