A MESSAGE FROM SYD KITSON

Dear Babcock Ranch Residents and Visitors,

During this time of nationwide concern over the coronavirus known as COVID-19, I want to assure you that the health, safety, and wellness of the Babcock Ranch community is a priority of our entire organization. We have been closely monitoring the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), as well as the World Health Organization (WHO), and are doing everything in our power to mitigate the potential risks COVID-19 might pose to our community. In that spirit, I want to share with you the precautions we are taking to ensure that our actions are comprehensive and appropriate.

Special events: To be proactive in preventing possible spread of the coronavirus, we are postponing large-scale gatherings and events through March 31, at which time we will reassess the events calendar. Upcoming events that are postponed include:

• Babcock Ranch Art Fest on Saturday, March 14
• Food Truck Fridays and Farmers Markets on March 14, 21, and 28
• British Invasion Night, featuring Beatlemaniax U.S.A., on March 21
• Fitness Fest on March 28

We apologize for any inconvenience. If you have questions about other Babcock Ranch happenings, please refer to our website at BabcockRanch.com, our social media channels, and the HOA resident website, BabcockRanchLiving.com.

Retail outlets: Our offices, restaurants, Discovery Center, Curry Creek Outfitters, and The Hatchery/Hive remain open at this time. Of course, you should expect operational changes designed to minimize risk and exposure; this may impact menu options and service-delivery methods.

Healthy Life Center: Please refer to Lee Health’s website for updates regarding the Healthy Life Center operations.

Employees and partners: Kitson & Partners cares deeply about the health and safety of our internal staff, contracted professionals, business partners, and their families. Policies regarding employee travel have been implemented, along with guidance regarding self-quarantines. Those who feel ill or display signs of illness are not permitted to report to work. Those in Babcock Ranch who greet customers in the Discovery Center and retail areas, or otherwise interact with residents and the public, are asked to refrain from shaking hands and to practice frequent handwashing.

Cleaning and sanitizing procedures: We are following all guidance from the CDC regarding cleaning of public spaces, restaurants, elevators, offices, and other facilities in Babcock Ranch. The frequency of cleanings has been increased, and we are utilizing commercial strength sanitizers and cleansing products.

What we will do: My commitment to you is that our team at Babcock Ranch will stay focused on being proactive with our efforts. As the CDC has stated, this is an emerging, rapidly evolving situation. Together, with your help, we will get through this challenging time. Babcock Ranch is truly a special community – a place where we care about each other and will do our best to help and protect each other. I can assure you that Babcock Ranch leadership will remain vigilant regarding our operations and procedures, will continue to closely monitor this rapidly changing situation, and will take all necessary actions to help protect our residents, our employees, our builders, our contractors and our visitors as best we can. Please visit Coronavirus.gov for additional government information and guidance.

I appreciate your trust, and your continued cooperation and understanding.

Thank you,

Syd Kitson
